Why is technology important?
Our students are flooded with apps, devices, and information on a daily basis. How they use these technological tools can have a permanent impact on their future. It is my passion as a teacher to equip students with the life skills to use technology for good, and to create a better future for themselves. Through the use of technology, I teach my students safety, etiquette, appropriateness, and the evaluation processes of online information.

Nearpod
Nearpod is an engaging way to guide students through lessons as if they were in the classroom. Nearpod enables teachers to communicate and assess students at home. This tool creates a flipped-classroom environment for learning at home. Kahoot!
Kahoot! is an incredibly engaging way to get immediate feedback about student learning. Students get to have fun by competing with friends. KidBlog
KidBlog is an online classroom blog available to students anywhere. Students can post privately, to their class, or publicly, and can comment on peer work. PiktoChart
PiktoChart is a great way to get students to show through pictures and infographics everything that they have learned into one presentation. Prodigy Math
Prodigy Math is an online game where students can compete against each other while practicing math skills of any level at the same time. Padlet
Padlet is an amazing cross-curricular utensil that can be used in any subject. There are literally dozens of ways to get students to interact and show their learning. |
